SUMMARY:Postponed: Rik's Inland 50k: St Caths to Faulkers L'Etacq
DESCRIPTION:*Due to the sheer number of trees down and GoJ advise to avoid coastal and countryside paths\, I have decided to postpone the Inland 50k for now until the trails are safe and clear. I will be running Round the Block instead on Saturday 11th Nov.* \n  \nThis year’s Inland 50 will be run in reverse\, starting at St Caths and finishing in the wilds of L’Etacq. \nThis is neither a Rock n Road Runners or Rock n Road event. It’s just some wholesome type 2 fun of Rik’s creation. No lead runners\, tail walkers\, signage or pace groups. Just a bunch of oddballs getting together and running through the middle of our great island. SUMMARY:Round the Block 2023
DESCRIPTION:Due to having to postpone the Inland 50k\, I’m going to be running this instead. It’s basically Round the Rock but entirely on roads. It’ll take in all the major attractions – La Collette Incinerator\, Greve bogs\, the Beau Rivage\, that house from Bergerac. And of course it will include all our favourite North Coast climbs. Sounds like a perfect Saturday. Most of the roads are clear from what I can see but always be wary of any loose or damaged overhanging branches as well as arboreal shrapnel on the floor. Weather loosk decent – no rain & light winds.
